I’m delighted your first Chow Mein turned out well. And yes, those simple techniques for choosing and preparing chicken can make a big difference in all sorts of dishes. Xiè Xiè for your kind words, Jeremine!

I just made my very first Chow Mein and they were perfect, thanks to your easy-to-follow and thorough guide. Xiè xie. <3

Also, your advice on which part of the chicken to use and how to keep it tender while frying is a real game changer. I will incorporate this advice in every dish with chicken I have in my repertoire e.g. Thai curry.

Thank you for sharing this, Krista! Stir-frying smaller batches is definitely a good idea if your cooker isn’t very powerful.

I am doing this recipe again! My only mistake? I slightly overcooked the veggies. But next time, I’m doing a smaller batch for easier control of timing. Thank you! My kids love Chinese food and they were so excited to see me cooking one of their favorites!!

I often make this dish for my children and pack it in thermal jars. Since this recipe isn’t overloaded with sauce, the noodles won’t go soggy. But they would be a little softer than freshly cooked ones.
