I’m really glad the recipes bring back the flavors you enjoyed in China. Thank you for cooking along with me.

Hi Wei,

Your recipes are the best!

I travelled to China last year and I am so delighted to have found recipes that taste exactly like the food I had over there! Thank you! And Happy year of the horse

I’m so glad your family enjoyed it! Baking is a great alternative to frying. I’m happy to hear it worked well and that your grandchildren loved the dish!

Thank you Wei for the Lion’s Head Meatballs recipe. I made the Lion’s Head Meatballs for dinner. It was a very yummylicious recipe. The grandchildren loved the dish. I baked the meatballs instead of frying.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I will try simmering the meatballs in the soup with the veggies. I will let you know the result.

I’m not sure how this would work out in the microwave as I’ve never tested this recipe that way. Alternatively, you can simply simmer the meatballs in soup until they’re cooked through.

Do you think I could shape them into balls and put them in a large, deep container with the Napa cabbage and some more soup in the microwave at low power for a long time? If this works, it would be saving some work.
I wait for your answer before I try the microwave experiment myself. Many thanks.

What a heartwarming story! I’m so happy to hear you’ve created a special bond with you son through Chinese food. I completely understand his affection for cabbage. I feel the same way!
