I wouldn’t recommend freezing cooked tangyuan. It’s best to freeze them right after shaping, then cook them straight from frozen without defrosting. Happy cooking, Julia!

I want to make these for Chinese New Year and since we’re making 7 total dishes, I was wondering how long cooked tangyuan keep good in the freezer? 1-2 weeks, I assume?
Thank you in advance!

LOVE THIS RECIPE! The instructions are super easy to follow, really tasty (have made it for my family multiple times with thumbs-up) and the outcomes look exactly like the photos! Always make this for my family during Lantern festival now – thank you Wei! 😀

That’s great to hear Donna! I’ll give it a try when I find sweet brown rice flour.

Hi Donna! I’ve never used brown sweet rice flour so I’m not sure if it works. Let me know the result if you ever give it a try.

Hi Anna, I’m a bit confused about your question as this Tang Yuan recipe doesn’t involve frying.
